Overview
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the Board of Peace’s High Representative for Gaza, Nickolay Mladenov, who failed during the past month to convince Hamas leaders to disarm. The meeting came after a cabinet discussion on the possibility of returning to fighting in the Gaza Strip.
• Iran attacked the United Arab Emirates for the first time since April 8, after the American “Operation Project Freedom” succeeded in cracking but not breaking the Iranian blockade. Iran launched 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 UAVs, with impacts reported in Fujairah and Oman, although the strike in Oman was likely a mistake. Trump said this did not constitute a violation of the ceasefire.
The United States will host the third round of ambassador-level talks between representatives from Israel and Lebanon on May 14–15.
• The IDF Spokesperson said that in a precise strike in the Dahiyeh area of Beirut, the IDF killed Ahmad Ghaleb Ballout, commander of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force, the organization’s elite commando unit.
• Since the beginning of the ceasefire, IDF forces have reportedly been attacked 70 times using FPV drones, while more than 200 terrorists have been killed during the ceasefire. There was also an attempted interception of an IDF drone using a small surface-to-air…
