Overview

• Hamas has handed over the body of fallen IDF soldier Hadar Goldin, who was killed in Operation Protective Edge (2014) and whose body has been held in Gaza for the past 4,117 days. 

• U.S. envoy Witkoff met Hamas political leader Khalil al-Hayya in Cairo. Al-Hayya allegedly committed that Hamas would hand over its heavy weapons to an international stabilization force (ISF) to be deployed in Gaza.

• Responsibility for humanitarian aid entry into Gaza has been transferred from COGAT (Israeli Coordination Unit) to U.S. military command, marking a major shift in operational control. American officers will now supervise all aid deliveries.

• The IDF subsequently struck six villages in Lebanon, targeting Radwan Force weapons depots, terror infrastructure, and engineering equipment, and conducted two vehicle strikes killing two militants.
